After dealing with injures and other crew related issues, the Cloudcroft High School football team has terminated 16825 its remaining two online games of the season.

According to head mentor Jim Seal, the situation appeared to be too dangerous for his / her remaining 11 players to experiment with the final two games of this year. He also said the decision to cancel the season was made by Athletic Home Danny Ward and Superintendent Travis Dempsey.

Ward mentioned there were 19 players permitted to play at the beginning of the season. Then the team lost three gamers due to poor grades as the remaining players started struggling injuries as the season advanced.

"The decision was made because we had too many kids hurt therefore we couldn't field more than 11 kids," Ward claimed. "It has been something we have been coping with for weeks."

Ward said the cancellation has not been a surprise. During the first 1 week of football practice, he said he noticed the thinned out there football team was commencing to get injured. As the season progressed, so did the injures.

Ward also stated he and Seal doubted the season would continue because of the injures, particularly after their homecoming game forfeiture on Oct 12.

"We just had too many harms," Seal said. "Our numbers were not great to begin with. Were 16800 playing with 14 (players) for many of the season, and if we had 14 we would have played the other season."

The year's cancellation comes a week soon after Cloudcroft's school board 15082 began contemplating dowbngrading the team from 16327 11 male to eight man football.

"That's got to be what we carry out or we won't be able to subject a team," Ward mentioned. "So we are looking at to a two year block to eight male and we will decide whether we are able to field enough to go 14 man."

Cloudcroft's last sport was Sept. 28 towards New Mexico Military Institute's junior university squad.

In all his a lot of coaching, this will be the first time Close has experienced a canceled time. While Ward has only been recently the athletic director during Cloudcroft for about two years, this will often be the first for him. But despite the team's season creating any sudden end, Seal claimed he is happy with how their Bears performed.

"These are the best boys and girls I ever worked withm" he stated. "They've got the most character of any group I ever brought on. We were extremely proud of these folks and I told them they were the best group I ever drilled and I have groups that contain won district championships.Inches

Meanwhile, there are four older persons on the Cloudcroft roster who will have their season come to an abrupt finish. For the remaining seniors, they don't be able to participate in district participate in, experience Senior Day or perhaps enjoy their remaining moment as football players.

"They kept revealing to us, 'Don't get your hopes upwards. We've only got 13 guys. Just keep your manages,'" senior fullback Randy Summers said. "It will be horrible. Being a senior, nobody get all district (awards) this year and we don't even get to play one district game. We don't get anything."
